Building 25 at Creedmoor State Hospital contains the remains of a small print shop. The “main attraction”, and most-photographed thing in the room, is the letter-press and its attendant boxes of type. But off to the side, there are a pile of other artifacts - an ancient cash register; a pair of destroyed typewriters. This is a detail of one of the latter.
Masks worn by doctors during the Plague. The protective suit of the plague doctor consisted of a heavy fabric overcoat that was waxed, a mask with glass eye openings and a cone nose shaped like a beak to hold scented substances and straw.
